Hendrik Ibsen Steamboat
M/S «Henrik Ibsen»
M/S Henrik IbsenM/S «Styrsö» was built in 1907 at Eriksberg Mek. Verkstad in Gothenburg. The boat was in traffic in the Gothenburg skerries up to 1970, and was thereafter used as a charter boat. In autumn 1992 M/S «Styrsö» came to The Telemark Canal, where it was refurbished and made suitable for canal traffic. The boat was named after S/S «Henrik Ibsen», one of the old steamboats on the Canal, and put into use during the season of 1993. The boat is 30,9 m long, 6,4 m wide and lies 2,5 m deep in the water. M/S «Henrik Ibsen» takes 220 passengers and sails between Skien - Dalen. The boat is owned by Skien Dalen Skipsselskap AS.
