MV Burwah, was owned by Howard Smiths Aust: this photograph was taken in Devonport Tasmania. She was a cement carrier. She was built in 1956 and was scrapped in 1986.

I have a medalion given to my father (one of the crew) of the mv Burwah when she carried her ONE MILLION TONS not sure what year. I am currently trying to find his work history as a merchant marine, I wonder if you may be able to help with any information
Hi Kay for the love of me I cant remember when the medalion was give, I was on leave when she did that trip. Hi Paul I'll see if I can get the medallion to scan and email it to you along with a photo of my dad. My dads name was Alfred Henry Griffiths (Alf) and I believe he worked down bellow he shipped out of Sydney mostly. With thanks Kay
