The Iran Kolahdooz was built as the British registered Stratheden in 1977 by Gdanska Lenina, Poland. The cargo ship Stratheden changed name in 1983 to Merapi and in 1988 to Iran Kolahdooz. She measures loa 169.9m , beam of 23.2m and 12,598 tons.

I was a Deck Cadet on her in 1978/79 when she was P&Os' Stratheden. Gulf/Japan run. Great times!
