She doesn't look to well from the time I sailed on her. I did a cruise on her from Jan 10th 1960 till 1st of May 1960. She sailed from Southampton and return to Southampton calling at Fort Lauderdale and West Indies. I was a fireman / tunnel greaser.

I was a fireman on her during a Christmas cruise around late 1970s, There was a flu epidemic and the morgues where all full. It was an eerie feeling going down the tunnel to the steering gear.

I have told you I did Christmas relief on her about the flu epperdemic, well another little story about the tunnel was under each bearing on the shafts, there is a spare but some time in the past someone pinched them and replaced them with wooden ones painted. Can not say if this is true or not.
