Making water - quite some roll

A nice photo with lots of drama and detail of a wave hitting the side of a ship. Although it looks dramatic there isn't really a heavy sea.

I've not been able to retrieve the maker of the photo (part of my collection of auction purchases) nor the name of the ship.

Comments:
This picture could have been taken on board a side trawler in a heavy swell.
The picture shows the port side of the fishingvessel probably during the final stages of getting the trawl net on deck. It is also possible that part of the fishing gear is entangled in a wreck or rocky bottom causing the vessel to heel over and taking water on deck. A potential "man overboard" situation.

The photo shows a regular situation on board of trawlers. The crew is seeking shelter in order to be not washed over board. They are trying to fix or loose a trawl board ( also known as otter board )which is seen outside the ship´s hull. Indeed an unpleasant situation, which my comrades and me had to stand several times. Great picture of trawler fishing, shows the everyday conditions these men have to endure to put fish on our table.
