Anek Lines ferry Lissos in Chania
Berthed in Chania, Crete, is the ferry Lissos (managed by Anek Lines). Photo taken 06/04/2008.
Editor: the Ro/Ro vessel Lissos was built in 1972 by Koyo, Hirama, Japan and named FERRY HAMANASU. She changed name / ownership in 1987.
She measures a loa of 160.5m, beam of 26.5m and comes in at 9875 tons.
Her 2x Fuji-Pielstick 18PC2-V400 Diesel engines can give her a speed of 21 knots.
Is it me or are these 'bendy' lines in her design more common in Japan?
