Monas Isle beached

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company passenger liner Mona's Isle beached. I have not been able to find out many more details on the vessel and the how and when she was beached.

Comments:
I do have a recollection of an IOM ferry being beached in the river Mersey in the late 1960's, could this have been it?

photo 1950? think not as Monas Isle only went into service in 1951. Final voyage 1980.
Photos are of her when she ran aground in 1955 after a collision with another vessel off Fleetwood.
