The boat next ot the Endeavour is the Lowestoft built “Defender”. She was previously known as “Al Majihad” and served as a Sultan of Oman Navy fast attack boat.

Marcel, I think she is now at Norwich. Might be a Sea Cadet Training vessel.

the defender is now at HEYDON BASIN MALDON ESSEX I have photographs of the boat at this location I would be interested to know what she is doing there

I understand that that defender has been purchased privately and possibility it may be brought into use as pleasurecraft Its berthed close to the main Heybridge Lock When I was down there recently the gangway is blocked off by padlock but there were 10 - 15 people picniking on the front deck. Reference to site www.Seylec.com should give you more information I suspect landlord of main village pub Jolly may know who purchaser is! Hope this is helpful

The new private owners are turning her into a pleasure craft but keeping her military appeal. She is part way through the refurb and currently efforts are being made to get a new power system up and running.
A lot of the old comms and control equipment is being removed, if their are any collectors interested please contact me and I will forward your details to the owners.
