Alaunia - Liverpool setting off from England

Been going through a family album and found various photos of cruise ships. This photo was taken in 1932 in eastern Canada.

My father served on Alaunia from 1940 to 1946 and it was always known as a "lucky" ship

My wifes great-grandfather was a chef/kitchen crew on the Alaunia and was last seen we believe by his son Gerald Brew/Goodall in on the 14 January 1928. We believe he was an American/Irish decent but not sure as we only have photos
