Panamanian cargo ship 'Bright Star' of 1949

Panama-registered general cargo ship "Bright Star" (2,881 tons gross, built by Lindolmens Varv. A/B, Gothenburg), owned by Bright Star Steamship Co. S.A., in the Shatt-al-Arab River in July 1972. She was built in 1949 at the "Hai Meng" for Bruusgaard Kiøsteruds Skibs A/S of Drammen, Norway ("The Norwegian Asia Line") & bought by Bright Star in 1971. In 1972 she was sunk by communist frogmen in the Mekong River off Pnom Penh, Cambodia.
