Argentinian livestock carrier 'Petrel' of 1951
Buenos Aires-registered livestock carrier "Petrel" (11,540 tons gross, built by C. van der Giessen, Krimpen, Netherlands), owned by Transportes Oceanicos S.A.C.I.F.I., arriving at Bandar Shahpur, Iran, with a cargo of sheep in January 1972. She was completed in April 1951 as the passenger ship "Yapeyu" for Transportes Lineas Maritimas Argentinias and bought & converted by Oceanicos in 1969. In 1974 she became the "Cremona", in 1976 the "Iran Cremona" (registered in Singapore) & was sold for scrapp at Kaohsiung in 1980.
