Malaysian cargo ship 'Bunga Kenanga' of 1959

Malaysian International Shipping Corporation's cargo ship "Bunga Kenanga" (6,796 tons gross, built by Harland & Wolff Ltd., Govan) at Tokyo in December 1974. She was built in 1959 as "Bulimba" for British India S.N. Co., London, & bought by M.I.S.C. in 1971. In 1977 she was sold to Seasprite Shipping Enterprises Corp. & renamed "Seasprite" under the Liberian flag, being soon re-registered under the Greek flag.
In 1979 she went aground in Kori Creek, India, and was abandoned by the crew.

Never seen any of her as Bunga Kenanga. These were very stylish vessels, five of which were built by H&W.;
Two came back to Glasgow as Sudanese Shendi and Maridi.

Yes, Paul, they were probably the best-looking ships B.I. ever had. Unfortunately I never got any shots of them in B.I. colours. I'll submit one of the ex-Bamora soon.
