British cargo ship 'Benvannoch' of 1952

Edinburgh-based Ben Line Steamers' "Benvannoch" (10,594 tons gross, completed October 1952 by Wm. Denny & Bros., Dumbarton, at Penang, Malaysia, in May 1971. She was built as "City of Winchester" for Ellerman Lines Ltd., London, (managers: Ellerman & Bucknall S.S. Co.) & bought by Ben Line in 1970. She was sold for scrap at Kaohsiung in 1975. She had 3 steam turbines, geared to a single shaft.
