Strick Line's "Floristan"

F.C. Strick & Co's "Floristan" (9,296 tons gross, built 1965 by J. Readhead & Sons Ltd., Sunderland) at Bahrain in 1967. After the P&O; Group's reorganisation in 1971/2 she became the "Strathalvie" under the management of P&O; General Cargo Division. She was sold in 1978 to Vanguard Bay Shipping Co. & renamed "Alexandra". She was severely damaged by fire in 1982 & scrapped in Taiwan the following year. (My thanks to Merchantnavyofficers.com for much of this information)
