Challenger Colocotronis 1977

Photographed in Southampton Docks in 1977 this Tanker was built by Resenberg Yard, Stravanger and launched with her 4 sister ships owned by Berge Bergensen D.Y. At that time she was named the Berge Odel and is seen here in guise as the Challenger Colocotronis which she maintained from 1971 to 1977 when she became the 'St Nicholas as which she was arrested in 1981 in Bombay and subsequently Scrapped there in 1983.

It was rested in Portsmouth when this picture was taken and I spent an interesting weekend on it courtesy of the Ship keeper and the marooned crew. I see it was arrested again later in Bombay.
