USS Soley, DDE 707 at Halifax, NS 1960

USS Soley one of 70 Allan Sumner Class destroyers built during WW2. Soley was built at the Federal Shipbuilding yard, Kearney, New Jersey and commissioned on 7th December 1944. The ship decommissioned in February of 1970 after suffering a severe grounding in Jan, 1970, and was subsequently sunk as a target on Sept. 18th 1970.
