CITY OF EXETER of 1974An altogether different ship to her predecessor. An SD14 she was built by Austin and Pickersgill at Sunderland as P&O's STRATHDARE and sold to Ellerman in 1975. This was taken at Bowling on the Clyde, outbound from Glasgow in March 1976.
They did not keep her for long- indeed a circular was sent out to staff apologising for the standard of accommodation- and in 1980 she was sold and became PHOEVOS. As NIKOLAOS S. she is possibly still sailing.
