Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier, photographed on 10 September 2006 while fitting out. George H.W. Bush was christened a month later on 7 October 2006. Former President George H. W. Bush attended the ceremony and became the first president in history to participate in the christening of his namesake ship.

Let's hope I got the name right, John! We were at least a mile away and there are no identifying numbers or names. All I remember now is that we (a BAES group) were on our way to or from Virginia Beach to photograph aircraft.
