Drill ship in Glasgow in August 1998. She started life off as the newsprint carrier ELIZABETH BOWATER completed in 1958 by the Caledon yard at Dundee.
Converted to a drill ship in 1972 she became WIMPEY SEALAB then PHOLAS and lastly NORSKALD and was scrapped as that at Esbjerg in November 2002.

can remember her coming to the tyne in the 70s as wimpey sealab for maintenance and repairs at that time she was painted yellow

Worked on Sealab after initial conversion. When the small derek was fitted, still in Bowater colours. On the NCB contract off the North East coast, then after conversion to Wimpy colours.
