It was driven ashore in 1919 while under tow to the scrapyard.

A gun from this ship is now a gate guard at the Lyness museum. The turbines are still there and can be visited at low tide.

My grandfather, Theodore Hengstenberg, was the captain of B98 during WWI. Any additional information about B98 would be appreciated! Thanks!
