Minelayer HMS Manxman at Singapore 1964
A view of Manxman's stern shownig the mine doors. The ships ahead are two Australian frigates, Yarra and Paramatta. The basin in which these and other vessels out of view to the right, is the flooded King George Sixth Drydock. The dock gates were destroyed by British forces just before Singapore was overrun by the Japaneese in 1942. I believe this was the largest drydock extant at the time. Others may verify.
