Mine Clearance Vessel MSF3

Photographed in the naval basin at Frederikshavn on 25 April 2011. This is a remote controlled (drone) Danish Navy Vessel, built by Danyard as no. 281 in 1999.
LOA: 26.5 m, Beam: 7 m, Draught: 2.1 m.
Powered by 2 x Scania DSI, 2 x 370 kW, 2 x Schottelpump jets, maximum speed 12 knots.
These vessels are capable of operating unmanned in a mine clearance area. A towed sonar brings an image to the mother vessel, and camera identification is possible.
A 30 kg charge can automatically be laid beside any underwater object, and set off after the drone has returned to the remote controlling vessel.
