Maintaining Freedom, Mid N.Atlantic 1966

HMCS Columbia DDE 260 'Hunting Ivans Boomers' East of Bermuda Spring 1966. Seems we were never home in those days. Long enough for refits and back out. Quite a different story today. Seems like the 30's!

I was on that trip.It was pretty rough if I remember correctly.I served as a storesman on board (ABST4).I don't remember you but there were over 200 on board.

Hi Alf: I was an Engineering Technician so didn't have much contact with the Fishy Folks aboard. I was in Columbia mid 1965 until just before she went to the West Coast. Cheers, Ken

Just looking at yours pictures you have posted here - I also was on the Columbia in 1966. I was an RP(Radar Plotter) and spent most time in the ops room. I guess I was on board when this picture was taken as well. I was looking for a picture of the Columbia at Expo 67 when we ran across your pictures, I would be interested in what photos you might have.
