Ships and Harbours
No: 16559   Contributor: Paul Strathdee   Year: 1964   Manufacturer: Denny, Dumbarton, United Kingdom   Country: United Kingdom

Taken in August 1964 by Jim Orr and passed on to me is this photo of the last ship built by Denny at Dumbarton on their own account but taken by Hall Brothers of Newcastle.
Sadly when the yard closed MELBROOK was taken upriver to Glasgow and was completed by Alexander Stephen's yard at Linthouse at whose fitting out quay this was taken.
She became EXMOOR in 1972 and sold to foreign buyers in 1978 became ANNITA. She was scrapped in 1986 at Gadani Beach.
