WINDSOR CASTLE departing Southampton

Following the end of the South Africa Mail Service later in 1977, she was sold to the Latsis Group and renamed MARGARITA L with the intention of becoming a cruise ship. However, she became an accommodation ship for various building schemes in the Middle East.
She eventually was laid up in Greece for 14 years and despite preservation attempts went to the Alang beaches as RITA in July 2005.
