Royal Fleet Auxiliary stores ship photographed in the Firth of Clyde in August 1979.
She was completed by Scotts' at Greenock in 1967 and after a long and successful career went to Alang breakers as RESOURCEFUL in 1997.
A sister, REGENT was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast.

Happy memories , of a brief tour as 3rd Officer..
So much larger than the old RFA Retainer. I also did not like the huge characterless NEW Fort's . The old Fort Sandusky , or 'Head's' were real ships... ! I am retired now thank goodness .
