BRITISH TWEED

BP River Class tanker completed by Scotts' at Greenock at Southampton in October 1973 loading fresh water for Gibraltar, a common cargo for new tankers prior to loading their first oil cargo.
She lasted until 2003 when she was scrapped as MINAB I by Pakistani breakers.
A fine array of passenger liners lie astern; Union Castle's PENDENNIS CASTLE, Safmarine's SA VAAL and P&Os; CANBERRA.
