Royal Mail lines' passenger liner ANDES fitting out at Harland and Wolff's Belfast yard in 1939. Later painted all white her career lasted till May 1971 when she went to Belgian breakers.
Her name was perpetuated in a container ship built in Korea in 1984 and which also has gone to breakers.

Yes it would be. She went into War service very early.
