Indian Ocean Shark

We were on the way to Mamagoa when we had to heave to. We had engine trouble thats when we caught the sharks. Fortunately we had good engineers aboard and they were able to melt the broken shaft liner and remake another with a great deal of hard work filing down after the casting had cooled. M V Moorby

Hi Folks,
That's me, second on the left, next to the Mate. We were adrift for three days whilst the engineers did theoir great job on the shaft liner. It was my first trip and pure magic... at least in hind sight. Harry Pemberton. Cabin Boy and the only one to sign off 'Under Protest'. They wouldn't pay me for all the overtime earned in 10 months... Always a bolshie.
