HMAS Yarra and Parramatta at HM Dockyard,Singapore March 1964.These ships are Improved River Class Frigates built in Australia. See picture #1134 for details.

Pennants changed when these ships were re-designated as destroyer escorts.

Was serving on HMAS Yarra at time photo was taken. Great to see her at her prime.

Hello Ben: Just to the left across the basin was my ship HMCS Fraser, at Singers for the Jet64 SEATO Exercise which Voyager and Melbourne were also to take part in.Good to hear from you. Rgds, Ken Watson
