A light cruiser of the improved 'Dido' Class of wartime construction: 7,360 tons full load disp.; 512 ft LOA ;50.5 ft beam; 15 ft draught. Machinery: 4 shaft geared turbines -62,000SHP -33 knots. Main armament 8-4.5 in DP guns. Built Scotts 1942, to New Zealand 1955.
