Stavanger was one of five 'Oslo' Class frigates built in 1960s and modernized in late 1970s. Displacement 1,950 tons full load;length 96.7M; beam 11.2M;draught 4.4M. Propulsion single geared steam turbine 20,000SHP,speed 25 kts. Stavanger laid up 1999, other ships were Narvik,Trondheim,Bergen and Oslo which sank in 1994.Stavanger is seen here in Bedford Basin during the 1985 Fleet Review.
